ALBOAN, the Jesuit Development Agency from the Basque Region of Spain, has interacted closely with SW-TN since the 2004 Tsunami. ALBOAN has taken up the social monitoring approaches of SW-TN for deeper study and reflection. ALBOAN also financially supports the current programme of SW-TN.

FOODFIRST INFORMATION AND ACTION NETWORK (www.fian.org )
FIAN is an international human rights Organisation that has been involved in international advocacy for the realization of the Right to Food, through Fact Finding Missions, International lobbying at FAO and other UN forums, especially around General Comment 12 on Right to Food, developing training toolkits and campaigns through its national networks.
SW-TN works closely with both FIAN-International and FIAN-Tamilnadu by developing case studies on Right to Food and linking Budgets with the Right to Food.

INTERNATIONAL BUDGET PARTNERSHIP (www.internationalbudget.org)
IBP ‘collaborates with civil society around the world to analyze and influence public budgets in order to reduce poverty and improve the quality of governance’, through initiatives such as the Open Budget Survey and international get-togethers and publications.
TNPFSD, from its early days and later, SW-TN, along with other budget advocacy groups in the country, have worked very closely with IBP.

INTERNATIONAL DALIT SOLIDARITY NETWORK (www.idsn.org)
IDSN, the international advocacy platform, evolved in the context of the 2001 Durban Conference Against Racism, works on a global level for the elimination of caste discrimination and similar forms of discrimination based on work and descent. In India IDSN works closely with national forums such as the National Campaign on Dalit Human Rights.
SW-TN has worked closely with IDSN, through NCDHR. The research findings of SW-TN on dalit budgeting have been incorporated into IDSN’s Alternate Reports to UN Committee on Eradication of Racial Discrimination.

CENTRE FOR BUDGET AND GOVERNANCE ACCOUNTABILITY (www.cbgaindia.org)
CBGA, New Delhi, the result of the collective efforts of the various state-level budget advocacy groups in India, including SW-TN, is a research-cum-advocacy centre that attempts to promote transparent, accountable and participative governance, through monitoring public policies and budgetary processes from the perspective of the marginalized in the country. The portal, Open Budgets India, has resulted fro m collective efforts by many organisations and individuals, led by Centre for Budget and Governance Accountability (CBGA). This portal is a comprehensive and user-friendly open data portal that can facilitate free, easy and timely access to relevant data on government budgets in India.
SW-TN, a Governing Board member of CBGA since its inception, plays a major role in the shaping of the directions of CBGA.

People’s Budget Initiative (PBI), a coalition which facilitates the involvement of civil society in the budget process of the Union Government every year by creating a platform where civil society activists articulate key demands and expectations from the forthcoming Union Budget. The members of this coalition are from people's movements, grassroot organisations, national and international development organisations, academia and the media. CBGA serves as the Secretariat of People's Budget Initiative.
SW-TN, an Organising Committee member of PBI, since its inception, plays a major role in the mentoring the activities of PBI.
The platform, Open Budgets India , has resulted from collective efforts by many organisations and individuals, led by Centre for Budget and Governance Accountability (CBGA). CBGA is an independent, non-profit policy research organisation working towards enhancing transparency and accountability and fostering people's participation in governance by demystifying government budgets. Increasingly, people across the country are keen to understand and participate meaningfully in discussions on government budgets. But, the limited availability of relevant and accessible information on budgets in India at different levels has been a hindrance in this regard. In this context, our endeavour is to strengthen the discourse and demand for availability of all budget information in public domain in a timely and accessible manner, at all levels of government in the country. As part of the efforts in this sphere, we have developed the portal - Open Budgets India (OBI), which is meant to be a comprehensive and user-friendly open data portal that can facilitate free, easy and timely access to relevant data on government budgets in India. NATIONAL CAMPAIGN ON DALIT HUMAN RIGHTS (www.ncdhr.org.in)
NCDHR is a national forum committed to the elimination of discrimination based on caste. Gaining momentum in the context of the Durban Conference on Racial Discrimination, the forum undertakes a wide of activities of research, advocacy and campaigning and operates under its four units of National Dalit Movement for Justice, Dalit Arthik Adhikar Andolan, All India Dalit Mahila Adhikar Manch and National Federation of Dalit Land Rights Movements.
SW-TN, from its inception has been a close ally of NCDHR and has worked closely with the forum especially in the sphere of dalit budgeting.

Social Equity Watch is a national core group, committed to the political process of bringing social equity into the centre stage of the developmental and political processes in the country. Learning from a series of “Social Equity Audits”, the core group intends to help organizations and communities to move professionally and politically towards greater social inclusion.
SW-TN is a founder-member of Social Equity Watch.

WADA NA TODO ABHIYAN (www.wadanatodo.net)
Wada Na Todo Abhiyan (“Don’t Break your Promise”), which emerged during the 2004 World Social Forum at Mumbai and is closely linked with the National Social Watch Coalition (www.socialwatchindia.net), is a national Campaign aimed at holding the Government accountable to its promise to end poverty, social exclusion and discrimination. The Campaign, with its more than 100 members spread over 14 States, undertakes wide range of advocacy initiatives such as the People’s Budget Initiative and Civil Society critique of MDGs etc.
SW-TN works very closely with the Campaign, especially on budget advocacy concerns of dalits and women.

The National Foundation for India (NFI) is an independent, Indian grant-making and fundraising body, helping people improve their own lives. NFI makes a difference by supporting partners who look for solutions to complex problems in poor, remote and challenging parts of the country. NFI's distinct nature comes from being completely independent of corporate, religious or governmental control and our focus is nationwide. NFI has partnered with a number of Indian and international donor agencies and is a professionally managed and financially accountable foundation.
NFI also financially supports the project of SW-TN on ‘People's led Budget Advocacy for an Alternative Policy on the Livelihood Rights of the Marginalised in Tamilnadu’.

UN Women in India strives to ensure the creation and implementation of pro-women laws, policies and programmes which translate into real opportunities for women and girls to exercise their rights as equal citizens of India. UN Women supports the Ministry of Women and Child Development and various other partners to deepen the gender responsive budgeting (GRB) work in India. The programme improves budgetary outlays to promote gender equality and women’s empowerment in accordance with national and international commitments.
UN Women – India also financially supported the project of SW-TN on ‘Tracking Budget with Intersectionality Framework for an evolution of Gender Responsive Budget for Dalit Women in Tamilnadu’.
